postheadericon "Hoarding"

On,  02/27/2010,  I decided to buy the Wall Street Journal because I have not read it for several months. It has
always given me the facts on past or coming up events. If the issues on money is the dismal of the day or for the week, I know the  Wall  Street Journal will have something on it. The information given out is for all who want to be in the know. So, when someone tells you that so and so is making or losing money. You can say,to that "Yes, I know, because I read it in the Wall Street".

Once, years ago, as I was walking into the office area.  I was carrying the Wall Street Journal under my arm and I wanted to see if anybody would notice it.  At first, some would see it there , would look at me and that was it. I tried this for a whole week and by the end of the week some were saying good morning to me. One did say,"Did you read that article on so and so" and I would say,"Yes I did." This taught me that some people are looking for others who have the same intellect.

Now back to this weekend edition, what caught my attention was the article on"Why Psychiatry Needs Therapy" 02/27/2010 page w3.  Apparently a new manual is on the works and has listed "Hoarding" as a new abnormal in it.  Hoarding is defined as "persistent difficulty discarding or parting with personal possessions, even those of apparently useless or limited value, due to strong urges to save them".  Well, as for me, I do collect pictures of history (past or now as it happens). Why? The answer to that is," Just because I liked to."
I just have a small collection in several plastic containers. This collection of written/pictures of history is being saved  and to be past on to my kids.  In order for them to see pictures and to read events as it did happens. For now, I will continue to read up on events and save a clip or two. I do enjoy to be in the know.

Oh, by the way, I do read up the "What's News-" section first.

postheadericon World, Here I Come !

Whenever I get a change to talk with college students, I will listen to what

they have to say.  They will tell me about their plans to take on the world, which

is good.  They also add about the companies they going to be working  for and the places

they going to visit.  By now, I have enough information on hand to say something  back  to

them.
"So," I say," ready for the job market." At this time I throw out questions at

them, for example:
 1. Do you have a five year plan ?
 2. Day planner ?
 3. Lap top ?
 4. Contacts ?
 5. Own transportion ?
 6. Some money saved up ?
 7. Ready for interviews ?
 8. Willing to go oversea ?
If the answer is yes, then, you are going to need a passport.

There's more to this list, but for now, the need of a passport. To travel

(oversea) a passport is require as a postive identification of the bearer(you).
A passport is an official document issued by a goverment certifying the holder's

identity, citizenship and entitling the holder to travel under its protection to

and from foreign countries. Of course, rules have changed lately as to where a

passport may not be reqiured. Go to http://travel.state.gov/index.html for all

complete information needed to get a passport for yourself.
